Original 35mm photographic negative documenting the extraordinary international boxing night held at the Valencia Bullring on May 6, 1988.
The evening featured the Valencia debut of José Antonio Castro “Toyi”, Spanish cruiserweight champion, and was announced with the participation of American Leroy Murphy, former IBF cruiserweight world champion. The program also included the Spanish Championship between “Zurdo” Fernández and Lorenzo Martínez, along with other fights.
The photograph shows two boxers with the referee in the ring during one of the evening's fights, in a scene especially representative of the event and the boxing atmosphere in Valencia in the late eighties.
