The photograph shows the coffin in the central axis of the room, surrounded on both sides by numerous attendees who remain next to it during the moments prior to the public farewell. The frontal perspective allows for documenting with special clarity both the layout of the space and the solemn nature of this moment immediately preceding the journey to the cemetery.
