Original 35mm photographic negative. View of the exhibition Brazil 1920–1950: From Anthropophagy to Brasília at the IVAM Centre Julio González in Valencia (Spain), with the monumental panel Eu vi o mundo… ele começava no Recife by Brazilian painter Cícero Dias occupying a large portion of one of the gallery walls. Created between 1926 and 1929 and publicly presented in 1931, the work is one of Cícero Dias's fundamental pieces and a benchmark of Brazilian modernism; the preserved panel is approximately twelve meters long. The photograph documents its installation in the major international exhibition at the IVAM dedicated to Brazil's historical modernity. Photograph dated October 2000.
